– 2 cups chopped onion
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon ground cumin
You will also need:
– 1 pound lean ground beef (80% to 90% fat)
– ½ cup white beans (canned or frozen), rinsed and drained well in a colander; or one 15 ounce can of white kidney beans, rinsed and drained well in a colander; or two 10 inch cans of great northern beans, rinsed and drained well in a colander; and one 4 ounce can of diced green chilies peppers, undrained.
Preparation time does not include marinating time which should last at least an hour but no more than 12 hours.
