Animal lovers, rejoice! This is a fantastic park, located on the outskirts of Bangkok. It is a great place to see some fantastic animals.
They even have a cute dolphin show!
FLOATING MARKETS
Floating markets are marketplaces in Bangkok, where customers go shopping in a boat. We went around boating, buying things from passing ships. Everyone should experience it at least once.
There is one restriction, though; you might have to wake up early to get the best of the shopping experience.
The best floating markets in Bangkok are –
- Dameon Saduak
- Amphawa
- Taling Chan
- Khlong Lat Myom
BAAN TEELANKA
Baan Teelanka is a unique concept. At the entrance itself, you’ll see a sign that says ‘Sorry! We’re open.’
It’s an entire house that’s built upside down!
Every tiny detail is taken care of. It feels like you are gliding in the air. It’s fun to go around the house and take pictures. Makes you feel like you have superhuman capabilities.
PATONG BEACH
Patong is probably one of the most happening places I have ever been to. I stayed there for three days and partied like never before. It is the most popular beach in Phuket. The beach itself is beautiful and an excellent place to relax.
The street along the beach is full of the hustle and bustle. You can go shopping, eat fantastic food, or experience the nightlife.
Soi Bangla is synonymous to nightlife in Patong.
It is one of the beautiful Places to visit in Thailand.
SOI BANGLA
The essence of Thailand’s nightlife lies at Soi Bangla. There are bars, night clubs and even Cabarets. It is an ordinary road till 6 pm, and then it’s open to pedestrians only. Bangla Street comes to life when the rest of the world sleeps. The party gets started at midnight!
ISLAND TOUR
You cannot go to Thailand and miss on an island tour. From Phuket, one can take a tour package and go around on a boat, visiting the beautiful islets. I spent a whole day with my family on a ship in the middle of the Andaman Sea. I will cherish those moments forever; the experience was so serene.
(It was also the day I got tanned).
Some famous Islands to visit near Phuket are
- James Bond island
- Phi Phi island
- Koh Yao islands
- Koh Lanta
- Surin island
KRABI
Krabi is a small town in southern Thailand. It’s so picturesque; all your pretty beach pictures will get flooded with likes. The famous beaches include Railay, Koh Hong, Koh Poda and Emerald pool.
But, there are other cool places to visit in and around Krabi as well. This includes
- Tiger cave
- Klong Thom Hot springs
- Krabi town walking street (for shopping)
- Aao Nang (for the nightlife)
THE BIG BUDDHA
Big Buddha is a monument located in Karon, on Nakkerd hill. It is a giant statue of Lord Buddha sitting peacefully. (To be specific, it is 45 meters or 148 feet tall) The view from the hill is breathtaking. Phuket and Karon can be seen from there; it is beautiful. Here’s a heads up. A monument is a religious place, so one needs to dress appropriately. I was wearing shorts, so I was given a cloth to cover my legs.
THE GRAND PALACE
Thailand is a monarchy, and this is the official residence of the rulers. The building is an architectural marvel. The dress code implies here as well; you need to be appropriately dressed to be allowed entry. Among the loads of things to see inside the palace, notable ones are the Buddha temple and the museum.
PHUKET ELEPHANT SANCTUARY
This is the first ethical elephant sanctuary of Phuket. You get to see a glimpse of the life of the rescued elephants. But, you are not authorised to touch them. Unlike the other places, this sanctuary doesn’t make the elephants work. They do not offer services like elephant riding, elephant bathing etc. that may be cruel towards the creatures.
When are you planning your trip to this beautiful country?
