So I recently visited Mahabaleshwar on the weekend in December.
Panchgani is one the way, so you can easily visit that too. For me, it is the best season to go there as you will have a marvellous view with chilled air.
I booked a cab for the whole day from Kedar Tour Travels in Pune. If you want to also contact them, their phone number- +919860244986
10 Smart Road Trip Hacks One Should Know
I will cut down my post in 2 things-
1. Places I visited-
a. Parsi Point-
A very lovely place to visit in Panchgani. We had some great time there.
Click pictures just sat and look at the view with the tea in your hand.
b. Devrai Art Village-
From a walking distance to the Parsi point, this village comes which is a heaven for art lovers.
But before that on the way when we were walking, it was heaven.
As there was a different kind of flowers on the road which leads to the village.
The artwork in the village was crafted by Adivasis.
It is a very nice initiative for people like them.
The products were costly but worthy as they are handmade and full of creativity.
You can have a look at some great art pieces and you can also go down in the workshop to see how that is created.
We came across to the Tumba art which is basically made from pumpkin after drying it up.
You cannot say by seeing it, it totally looks like wood.

C. Mapro Garden-
Now you cannot miss this place, it is the heart of
Mahabaleshwar is famous for strawberries. They
Fresh and tasty strawberries are also cheaper here. We got 2 kgs for 500rs.
You can also have berries(blue thing in the box in the picture above, just for 130rs)
Fun fact: I used to think they are sweet but actually they are
You should also visit the garden where they grow.
There everything is cooked in front of you and so fresh that you cannot stop yourself from eating.
It is the best place for foodies, though we just had a strawberry ice cream.
You also had HOLLYWOOD WAX MUSEUM there only.
We didn’t visit that because the fee was 100 rs per person and that too you can not take pictures.
So I didn’t felt it worthwhile.
But there is a shopping market too, which has some nice collection.
D. Venna Lake
It is one of the most famous places you can visit and worth of fame.
Because you can have boating, horse riding and lots of fun here.
Also, there are lots of stalls to eat in the midst of natural beauty. Make sure try the food here as you were definitely hungry on the journey from Pune to Mahabaleshwar.
E. Points In Mahabaleshwar
- Bombay Point/Sunset Point– By mistake, we got early but the view was mesmerizing.
- Marjorie, Savitri, Castle Rock, Echo, Arthur Seat – There are 12 points in Mahabaleshwar, we visited 5 of these and view for all of them are same. You can visit all of them actually, they are very near to each other.
Beware of monkeys, there you can see a lot of them.
f. Connaught Peak-
You will get an awesome sunset view from here. You need to literally trek a bit to reach here. But the place was worth pictures.
There are also various other things which you can cover on the way like- church, temples, cheese factory.
Basically that’s what the advantage of the cab, you can stop it whenever and wherever you want.
If you think one day is not enough, you can stay there, but for us, we covered a lot in one day and in our budget. Everything goes with our budget. So now I will come to that.
The whole spent was 3000 INR for a one day trip. We eat a lot and had fun.
